The Abacco Hotel: Stuttgart’s Motorsport-themed hotel

This past winter, the Miami Exotic team had the opportunity of staying at the Abacco Hotel in Stuttgart. For those of you who’ve never heard of the Abacco Hotel; it is a Motorsport-themed hotel nestled in the hills of Stuttgart, Germany. Upon entering the main lobby you are greeted with a very ironic quote from the late German Emperor, Wilhelm II, which states; “I believe in the horse. The automobile is not likely to be with us for long.”

After checking in with the friendly front desk staff, we retrieved our room keys and headed on a self-guided tour of the place. All throughout the property, there are scenes depicting many famous race cars and race drivers. Some include the Targa-Florio, Le Mans, and countess Formula 1 posters. One unique thing I particularly liked about the hotel was that each floor was dedicated to a different automaker. One floor showcased several works of art depicting infamous 911s and 917s. The floor we stayed on was a dedication to Mercedes, which features grand images of classic Mercedes Benz icons over the past decades. Conveniently enough Mercedes and Porsche have their factories and museums just a 10 minute drive away, respectively.

Inside of the hotel, there is the Abacco Steakhouse, which features only the finest cuts of steak, as well as a fully stocked bar. At the entrance of the Steakhouse, you are greeted with an impressive collection of trophies and books commemorating dozens of Formula 1 races of the 20th and 21st century. Diners are kept entertained with an array of wall-mounted flat screen HDTVs-of which continuously show the latest in sports and World news. Other amenities include an indoor, heated swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, massage area and tanning salon.

If you ever find yourself in Stuttgart, I highly recommend staying at the Abacco Hotel and trying their five-star steak house. Happy travels!
